Hello everyone.

I just got my new computer and I'm trying to install the driver for my GTX 570 videocard. When I do this my windows won't load properly anymore, it gets stuck at the part when windows usually loads your taskbar and icons on the desktop. So all I can basicly do is watch my wallpaper. When I click CTRL alt delete my screen goes black and the only thing I can do is click escape which redirects me back to the wallpaper.

I've been trying to latest drivers on the official NIVDIA website (GeForce 285.62 Driver) and I've also tried to just update them by using the Windows update that is installing a bit older drivers but the same thing happens.

CPU: Intel 2500K
MOBO: Asus P8P67 PRO
GPU: NvidiaGTX 570
RAM: G skill Ripjaws X 8gb
SSD: OCZ vertex 3
PSU: Corsair AX650

Hopefully someone has a solution to this problem because I don't know anyway to fix this. I just keep trying to do it but I need to use the system restore all the time in order to fix it again.

Grts

I just did the rate your computer performance as well.
Everything is pretty much max (7.9) except graphics and gaming graphics they're both 1.0. I guess I'm just using my onboard graphics right now or something like that.

Hi everyone,

I fixed the problem by resetting my CMOS battery after that my computer was able to boot normally after installing the drivers. Hopefully I can help someone with this.

Greetings,
