Hey everyone, I plan to use a gtx 670 to power a Yamakasi Catleap 2550 x 1440... Will that work? How well? Like bf3 @ max settings? Please note I have not purchased the card OR the monitor so it's the prime time to guide me! I feel like I could take gaming to the next level by going from a Gtx 570 W/ a 1080p monitor to this new setup. Please post and respond I'm very curious about this! And how big of a leap is it from 1080p to 1440p? Really any advice is appreciated I've never ventured into this expensive level of gaming so... I'm very wary and don't want to waste money but DO want an awesome gaming experience. Thanks 😀

Medium setting seems to be OK judging by the 670 SLI machine built by Tom's for SBM:

Alternative: 2 EVGA 670 at 1215 Mhz each, i5-3570K

Q3: 1 EVGA 670 at 1300, i7-3930K.

Although Battlefiled 3 MP Min-Average FPS is much lower than these SP Benchmarks due to large # of players.

Either BenQ 24" or ASUS 278HE(this can push 144+ FPS) would be your best bet for the best Battlefield 3 experience.

If you are PPI sensitive I recommend BenQ, as a lot people complain that they dislike 1080p on 27" monitors due to low PPI.

What is ppi??

Pixels per inch. The reality is, I've never heard anyone complain about PPI when owning a 27" monitor. It's those who are theorizing that say these things, or those with these 1440p and 1600p monitors who notice the loss. For gaming, 27" at 1080p is great. For graphics art, you might not like it as much.

I also game on 120hz, but at 27". After noticing how smooth things seem at 60 fps when watching cut scenes, even at 30 fps, I've come to realize the thing that really sets them apart is the responsiveness. When you move, it feels much more instantaneous on the screen. When moving the mouse, it feels so much more responsive compared to 60hz/FPS when I have 80+ fps on a 120hz monitor.

Yeah i actually came across mine by a trade a friend really wanted my bigger monitor i hated it i told him give me $300.00 he only had $150 so i said give me a hundred bucks and the monitor you have and it's a deal :)

What matters to me in a monitor is 1) picture quality (obviously) 2) I love monitors with rich beautiful colors, but I can't tell which would have that without seeing it in real life 3) The refresh rate, size, and how much "depth" the monitor has. These are in no particular order, they're all important. I have a 60hz 1080p monitor but it's colors aren't rich, they're more neon and over bright or something... It's hard to explain. Also it's stand is extremely wobbly. My monitor is an AOC e2343f.
Note: I've heard that to run 120hz monitor your pc has to be able to pump out over 120fps.. I'm sure mine can't, sooo... PPS: Is 3d gaming awesome or no? I've always wanted to try it..

Ahhhhhh as you can tell I know nothing about monitors help!!!! But the one thing that is still true is my current monitor is an AOC e2343f
