Question Gtx 950/960/970

Hello! I have lenovo h420 brand with 2.0 X16 pcie motherboard gigabyte CIH61M REV 1.0, I tested with one gpu rx 550 4gb and she doesn't support this GPU, you know if the gtx 900 series like 950/960 etc Will be accepted by motherboard?

I doubt it since all the GTX 900 series run on PCI-E 3.0 X16.
