Hello! I have a problem overclocking the GTX 970 G1.I raised the core clock with +150 and the memory clock with +200 and left the stock voltages. I ran FURMARK with no issue and also VALLEY BENCHMARK. When I tried to play Crysis 3 or BF4(only games I tried) I got a crash. It was something like a coloured screen and then an error message. What to do? Thank you!

Solution
Try 125 Core. I run 125 core and 500 memory. Anything past 130 core makes it unstable for me.

I have the G1 too. Remember that the card is factory overclocked and aside from the FTW edition has the highest factory overclock, so you will get less of an OC because it's already partially there.

I have a GTX 780 and found I can get good core OC with a 525 MHz offset on the GPU but OC on the ram doesn't work I can get a max of 100 MHz on the memory which actually lowers the benchmarking score so I leave the memory at 0 offset. Core voltage +45, don't know how anyone reaches higher than 100mhz on the memory or why it actually lowers the benchmark score. I am using MSI afterburner and valley, GPU says 1753mhz, Memory 3004, ultra settings with 8x anti-aliasing, with a score of 2259. I am using an X3 460 3.4ghz overclocked to 3.6ghz

i had a gtx 960 MSI Tiger OC 4gb and the only way to stabilize my OC (+182 mhz on core clock and +201Mhz on Vram clock) was raising temp limit, power limit (max it out) and ADD 15 MVS. to perform more than 50mhz on core clock you must add voltage! cranck fan speed up to 85%
