Gtx 970 Nivida reference card Temps.

I was wondering what people were getting for max temps with the Nivida reference blower styled cooler. I was thinking about selling my Evga acx 2.0 card, and buying one of those. The overall aesthetics are way better than any of the companies cards, and I really like the green led on the side of the card.

I adjusted my fan curve slightly and never go over 66 degrees

with the factory curve at 100% load it goes up to 80 degrees but running at like 40% fan speed

so at like 55% fan speed it keeps it at 66 degrees lol

whats your ambient temp , and fan config?

I don't know why the factory curve is so low. but I don't think they are like the Keppler cards cause mine at 80 degrees still runs at the boost clock and doesn't throttle.

ambient room temp is like 73 240mm fan in front of case bringing air in and a 120mm fan in the back as exhaust. and H100i cpu cooler on top of case as exhaust.

I'm surprised that your card gets hotter than mine. I haven't messed with the fan settings and i get a max of 73 degrees.

Yes at full load with only 22% fan speed, I have the Evga gtx 970 sc acx 2.0 card.

And people think that the cooler is flawed for some reason which doesn't make sense to me.

ok that is in fact a dual fan cooler. that is definitely why it runs cooler.

the reference card is fully enclosed and exhausts air out of the back of the case and uses 1 fan

but this does not put all the hot air from the gpu inside of the case which I actually like

yea but it doesn't exhaust heat out of the case like yours.

What type of performance are you getting in game, I'm curious because i'm running a 4790k.

take a look at these. Actually according to these my card was only running 1 degree higher at full load

Yea not bad, but with your custom fan speeds the fans life span will decrease quite a bit.

What are you getting in bf4 maxed out with vsync on?

ive been able to max out pretty much everything ive thrown at it and maintain 60 fps

battlefield 4 with vsync never drops 60
