Zotac GTX 980 Ti Amp! overkill for 1080p 'future proof' as in 2-4 years gaming?

Build:
CPU: i5-4690k
MOBO: ASrock Fatal1ty Z97 Killer
RAM: Avexir Core Series 8GB DDR3-2133
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA GS 650W 80+ Gold
Case: Phanteks Enthoo Pro.

Solution
At 1080P yes...at 1440P probably, you may have to start turning things down in a couple years, at 4k...it's reaching it's threshold at 4k now. I still game at 4k but you don't get super high fps on every game.

EDIT: And yeah I agree with A12, don't get the zotac.

graphics cards get out dated way faster than any other part of a computer. not to say it wont last that long, because im sure it will survive it. but overall, gaming for that long you would eventually need to turn some settings down to keep playable framerates. with direct x 12 on its way soon, if the future games you play use dx12, you may be able to extend the life of that card even futher.

In terms of performance at similar price points: MSI > Gigabyte > EVGA
