Hey all,

Again, great forum for those who are looking for help. Just wanted to ask a quick question about heat during testing using these software programs. Using full 1920x1080 resolution and the highest settings for both valley and heaven (extreme tessalation? x8 AA) my gtx 780 (FTW edition) hits max heat of 71-72c (on h100i cooling). I know these are benchmark testing software so is this temp good? And is this temp what I would find normally in todays games or is valley and heaven just really demanding on the graphics cards? Thanks for the help

The temp is fine. 71-72 is perfectly safe for gtx780 (though of course you can turn it down if you don't like the temps). As for gaming, the benchmark programs are designed to put a full, constant load on the card. In a game you will probably peak at similar temps but as the usage may not be constant, the temps may bounce around a little.
