Hello everybody. First of all let me give you my specs:
ASUS H81M-PLUS (UPDATED: VERSION 2205
i54460
r9 390
Corsair 2x4 1600 mhz DDR3 CL9 RAM
1TB HARDDISK
Recently I wanted to upgrade my ram so I bought Kingston HyperX Beast 2x8 1600 mhz cl 9 DDR3 RAM. Seeing that my motherboard supports 16 gb dual channel.
The problem is, when I use both 2x8 ram's, the system won't boot and occasionally when it's trying to boot, it resets itself constantly.
Then I tried using one 4 gb (corsair) and 8 gb (Kingston) system works fine with 12 gb ram. What I've realized is that (my motherboard has 2 slots), if I insert 8 gb on the right slot, system won't boot but if I use it on the left one it works with no problem. Right slot works fine with 4 gb but it doesn't work with 8gb ram.
I tried updating my BIOS and enabling XMP but to no avail.
Any ideas what might be causing this problem?
