[citation][nom]requiemsallure[/nom]people who say that MS isn't secure don't really know what they are talking about... Microsoft is the most secure operating system out there, I'm not trying to sound, fanboish (best word i could think of for it) the least secure OS is Linux/Unix/ECT. and OSX is somewhere in between.the reason is clearly stated in this article ... how often do you think that Linux and other OS's actually have Viruses made for them? if all of the sudden people replicated all the viruses ever made for windows to attack Linux, it wouldn't last a second.people that MS windows sucks, when they see all of the security updates that come down from MS because it supposedly has a lot of flaws (I'm not saying it doesn't have any flaws far from but it in comparison...). i just assume that there was a new virus (obviously it doesn't necessarily have to be a new virus or w/e either).in any case i digress, and i agree with you.[/citation]
You do know that even though Linux/Unix has a very very small market share on desktop computers, when it comes to servers they have a big percentage. The market share of these two OS on servers are bigger than Microsoft. So there goes you're theory. Has many hackers have proved on security events is that the Mac OS X usually is the easiest to hack. Linux/Unix on the other hand are the hardest.
A virus almost always can't be replicated to another OS. Even some virus that work on a 32 bit windows doesn't work on the 64 bit version.
