I'm running a HP Pavilion dv5-2135dx with a ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 graphics card. I have had it connected to my HD TV for the last week via HDMI cable. Up until yesterday all sound played through the TV speakers. I don't know what I did, but sound will now only play through the laptop speakers. I can't for the life of me figure out why this happened, or how to get sound to play through the TV speakers again. How can I get the computer to output sound through the TV speakers again?

The TV is detected as a monitor just fine, just no sound.

Any suggestions are appreciated. Thank you.

Solution
To switch between audio outputs, right-click on the speaker-icon in the taskbar and choose "Playback devices". Then, select your TV as output and click "Set Default"

I unplugged both connections and reconnected them. The TV is now showing up as an audio output and I set it to default output as suggested. Everything is now back to 100%.

Much obliged for the help.
