I have 16 gigs of DDR4 RAM installed in my PC. I entered the bios to check if any of the memory settings may have been messed up (none were) and I rebooted. My bios detects 16 gigs, speccy also detects 16 gigs but 8 of it is hardware reserved. I have tried swapping slots, but the PC doesnt boot when I do that. and also, the ram is super, SUPER sensitive. I had recently noticed that if i hit my table lightly, my PC shut off. I originally thought it was the hard drive or something like that, but it turned out to be the RAM. When I touch the RAM sticks lightly, the PC shuts off instantly.
Solutions I've tried:
-updating BIOS
-checking msconfig for anything unusual
-re-seating the RAM sticks (I spent more than an hour doing this and noticed that some RAM combinations didn't work for some reason?)
My specs:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600
MOBO: gigabyte ab350m-hd3
RAM: Transcend 8gbx2 ddr4
HDD: Toshiba DT01ACA100
GPU: gtx 1060 6gb
PSU: Corsair VS650
OS: Win 10 64 bit
