I got this message on my pc that my hard drive driver was having problems. It said that i could go to Marvell website and download a newer version. Something along those lines (i will update with all it told me later) anyway, i dont know who Marvell is or what component it's for. Could someone please tell me about this? I don't want to be downloading a virus or anything. What is this and why is it telling me? Please help!

Ok so i cant do a screen shot, but i can tell you exactly what it says.

Ok so the windows message says,
Your hard disk controller hast stopped working properly because a compatible driver available for this version of windows. Then is says,
Click to go online to the Marvell website to find out if a solution or update it available.

I am using windows 7
It says my hard disk controller is Marvell 91xx Config ATA Device.

If i click to go online, it takes me to the Marvell website, but i don't know what to do.

I appreciate your help! Thank you!

Ok, so i have a Asus motherboard. Is the driver the same as the bios? I heard updating your bios could be really bad for your pc. I will update on the motherboard modal tomorrow.
