Hard drives keep vaishing

From time to time my hard drives do a hudini, My PC runs well Device Manager
shows all ok but XP nolonger sees it I'm stumped I've read most of the posts
here regarding hard drives to no avail. Your help would be greatly
appreciated.

Do the usual: Make sure the system is clean, connections tight (they can
work loose over time), and you might also see if the BIOS has a delay set
when the drives start. If one drive fails to pass the init test, it might
prevent the other(s) from being seen as well. I would run diagnostics on the
drives as well.
