What is the maximum hard drive capacity that XP allows for its operating
system. I'm considering changing my OS from Windows 98se to XP and want to
get a new hard drive preferably the Maximum that XP allows.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The 137Gb is the limit of most motherboards, not the operating system.

The maximum HD for XP is somewhere in the terabyte range. The limiting
factor will be your motherboard.
