Have i made a mistake here cpu and mobo

Ive bought a Motherboard, which is an asus a78 something, and my cpu is A8-6500, anyways. looking at the picture it has a clippy thing, but my cpu cooler does not, have i fun goofed? or am i totally fine and this will end up working?! Thanks!
