AMD FX 4300 Processor - Quad-core - 3.8 GHz - 4 MB cache
GTX 960 2GB
8GB ram
1TB HDD
windows 10 64
devastator II ------- keyboard+mouse
22" hdmi moniter
500w PSU

No, you haven't been ripped off necessarily. I think it's actually a reasonable system, based on the fact that you have a 960 in there. This will be more than enough for older games, simple games or esports games like LOL, CS etc.

Most of these components are heavily dated (CPU, drive, PSU could be a serious weakpoint etc).

My suggestion is to throw a £30 240GB+ SSD in there and re-install windows onto that. The difference in most of what you do will be literally "another level". It's arguably the most noticeable upgrade if you aren't used to it.
