Hello, this is my first time posting here, I'm not sure where I should ask this (OC or CPUs) so sorry in advance if I did something wrong.

So I recently found an old pc of mine which I want to get ready for my little brother to play some old games, since it's really old I tought about doing 2 things, unlocking the famous locked core in Sempron cpus and buying some cheap old graphics card (was thinking of GT 210 maybe).
I WANT TO CLARIFY THAT I KNOW THE PC IS VERY OLD BUT SINCE ITS FOR A LITTLE KID TO PLAY OLD GAMES I DO NOT WANT TO BUY A NEW ONE, I KNOW IT'S JUST EASIER TO BUY A NEW ONE

I turned it on after cleaning, putting thermal paste and all that, and the pc works just great, no lags, no bugs, etc.
Thats why I decided to do some research on how to unlock the cpu. I went ahead and did it but turns out the computer displays no image after unlocking the core, it does turn on but with no image (idk if it boots or not bc I have no image but it does turn on).

After taking off the motherboards battery I tried updating the BIOS to the lastest update that mobo has had, with no results, same problem still happening (Updating the bios also led to windows not recognizing the pcie network adapter, but thats probably easy to solve, havent looked it up yet).
I have not tried to up the cpu voltage because I haven't seen anyone do it just for the sake of unlocking it but to overclock it, neither have I seen anyone have the same problem as I when unlocking sempron/athlon/phenom cpus.

-MOBO ASRock N68-S UCC
-AMD Sempron 140 2.7Ghz
-2Gb DDR2 RAM
-Generic 450w PSU
-OS: Windows 7 64bit

If I missed any info please let me know.

Cores were locked for a reason, mostly because they didn't pass the test. Only in some cases AMD locked cores just to sell off CPUs without endangering pricing for higher models but that was rare occurrence like Phenom 555 to b95 as far as I remember).
