Having internet connection while hibernating

Hello,
I wanted to run a application while in hibernation mode but whenever i run my laptop in hibernation mode, it loses internet connection and my application does not work. Im running on XP home edition SP3. Im using ethernet cable and i already enabled the ethernet adapter to run as usual in hibernation mode. What did i do wrong or what else i need to do?

In hibernation mode the computer is stopped. It can't run applications. That's the whole point of it.

This can also cause problems with some applications that require a continually working IP connection and cannot keep running after hibernation.

Oh. Some guy posted that this application could run as usual even in hibernate mode. Many people have agreed and succeed. Thats why im wondering whats wrong with my computer
