Hey I've overclocked my Sapphire HD 6450 as I want to play mass effect 3 on my old computer and I wanted to know if my PSU can handle the extra wattage.
My stock settings are
Core 625mhz
Memory 667mhz
Voltage .975v
The settings I am running are
Core 750mhz
Memory 800mhz
Voltage .980v (it seemed a little stabler with the small voltage increase)
I highly doubt this is a viable source of data but a CPU oc calculator says 23watts over the original 18watts. (which is probably more or less the increase In wattage I'm getting anyway, "the reference card has the memory at 800mhz anyway" which is rated at 18 watt
My PSU is an OEM 250watt which is 5 years old
I highly doubt I have much to worry about with such a lower wattage card anyway... but I'd rather ask
The card is a low profile passive cooled card with an added fan (I had overheating problems, not a problem now "30-50c vs 60-90c")
Thanks
