HD 6850 noise

I bought a couple of months back 2 HD 6850 2GB card and and when i run single card it doesn't make much noise but when i crossfire them it make a hell lot of noise and even when one is active the other card is disconnected(power,crossfire)still it runs and adds up the noise to the single card which is running silently...how to make the noise level down..help please..

What brand of cards are they? You should with a different brand with better fans.

Why don't you switch the cards for the MSI 6850 cyclone edition? They are much more quiet. The Sapphire's look is similar to the reference (original design) of the 6850.

i like the MSI 6850 Cyclone Edition but it will take time for me to switch to these cards.i will consider ur suggestion but is there any other way to lower the overall noise of the system???

Not really, you can lower the fan profile, but it would just make your cards hotter.
