HD5870 2GB + HX1000W + Antec 900Two/P183/193 Case - Will it fit?

Hi Guys

Ordered the 5870 2GB and the Corsair HX1000W but havent bought a case yet.

Was thinking of getting the Antec 900 Two or the Antec P183/193.

The only thing I dont like about the "P"'s is the ports are on the bottom right, whereas the 900 two are on the top which I like.

Will the 5870 2GB and the HX1000 PSU fit in the 900/P83/P93 ?

Help would really be appreciated!

- ASUS P6X58D Premium - USB 3.0, Sata 6G, 24GB Memory supported

Processor:
- i7 930 2.8 GHz

Video Card:
- Sapphire Radeon HD 5870 2GB Eyefinity 6

RAM:
- Corsair Dominator 3 x 2GB 1600MHz (to run tri-channel)

PSU:
- Corsair HX1000W

1000w is over kill for a single HD 5870, or a crossfire HD 5870. If you can return it do it.

I would recommend this XFX 750w PSU. It's modular, silver 80 plus, and performs better then the Corsair power supplies:

I've already ordered it. Wanted it to be as future proof as possible in case I wanted to go tri-fire one day. And the price difference wan't too bad.

So, will it fit?

Get an ANTEC 1200.. Just for curiosity, are you gonna use that video card fully..?? I mean, why the eyefinity 6 edition..?? Its almost as costly as a HD 5970..

Not at the moment no. 5970 was like $700+ when I checked and this was +-$500.

At the moment i'm deciding between an Antec 1200, Haf 932, or the Storm Sniper which is a mid-case..

All the three are excellent choices.. And believe me, the sniper has enough room to be called a mid tower.. If these three are your final choices then my first ecommendation goes to the sniper..

Happy to be of help.. Just a tip, check if the HX1000 would fit inside the sniper.. The thought din't strike me initially but the shear size of that PSU is making me wonder.. I think you've to remove the bottom fan mount for it to fit.. Its a simple task though.. Also, do get the black edition.. It has few enhancements for the same price..

Do you need the case asap? or could you maybe wait 1-2 months for it? The reason I'm asking is because we are releasing 3 new cases (Dark Fleet-35, Dark Fleet-85, and Lanboy Air) in June.

If you need the case now, Antec 902 is an excellent choice. It has almost everything you need in a case. The black interior, cable management holes, fan controller, 3 120mm fans + 1 200mm fans blue LED fans, and fits up to video cards up to 16" which is plenty of space for your 5870.

How about mentioning the bad cable management of the antec's as compared to the sniper.. It may be a bit pricey but hey, cases are not changed as frequently as some of the other components and in that regards, the sniper is a keeper for years to come.. Looks are subjective but it has a superior build quality, better feature set, great cooling which is easy on the ears too and awesome cable management as i already pointed out before.. If you can put the pricing out of the equation then the antec 900's are no match to the sniper..

Just to answer the question.... HX1000 will fit on Antec 900/902 case.

I have one(HX1000) on my 900 case.

Just for added information...HX1000 cabling is alot better than Antec's PSU.... I have 2 Antec Quatro 850s on another setup(2 Antec 900 case also)
