Minimum or maximum ? C: is only a partition, there should be several other partitions too. Some 60GB would be bare minimum for C: partition, maximum almost indefinite but there are no disks that can get even close to too much.For over 2TB of a partition, format to GPT instead of MBR,

Well - you can get WD Ultrastar DC HC580 24TB SATA drive and install it into your desktop pc.
So usable capacity ~21.8TB for C: drive.

There are HDD models with higher capacity, but those usually are SMR drives.
Not recommended for installing windows on SMR.

Max allowed size would be determined by GPT and is 9.4 zettabytes. (Insert doc brown yelling 9.4 zettabytes?! Great Scott! here)

Using 64-bit values, GPT can handle disks of upto 9.4 x 1021 bytes or 9.4 zettabytes (ZB).

ntfs limit is just 8 petabytes, bu at 2MB cluster size....usualy you do use 4kB cluster for best perf on small files, which also drops max size to 16TB
