I saw a HDMI cable that apparently could send internet through it. For example if my tv was connected to the internet, then using a hdmi ethernet cable to connect to my xbox, would that mean that my xbox would have internet connection and if so would it be slower than usual?

Also may someone reccomend me a HDMI Cable to use for a reasonable price.

Thank you

The HDMI with Ethernet only works if ALL devices support it.
You would need to have ethernet plugged into device in your setup. and all devices inbetween would need to support the ethernet over hdmi.

You get 10/100mbps ethernet, not 1gbps ethernet. now that is likley faster then your internet so for online game play that is fine, and for streaming movies, a h264 HD video file only needs about 20mbps and a full unencrypted blu-ray only needs 35-40 so the 100mbps is sufficiet.
