Hi guys,

I have recently purchased a GPD Pocket 3 with the built in KVM module for work. This device works really well as a KVM but I have an issue.

The KVM display in is HDMI only, so to connect to computers & servers that only have VGA ports I need to convert it.

I have purchased the below cables/converters for this task but it does not work at all.

HDMI to VGA cable

HDMI to VGA adaptor (USB powered)

HDMI to VGA adaptor (Unpowered)

I have tested this on a known good working computer & server which will put video out to VGA using a normal VGA cable (to a lcd tv with VGA port). I also used all the converters on the same TV as well as another tv with a HDMI port to eliminate issues with the GPD device, I get no video on all 3 devices so this is definitely and issue with the cables/converters.

Any idea what I can do to resolve this or find something that will actually work?

Let me know.

Thanks

Cant be that simple can it? I basically got the wrong direction? Haha

I have ordered the specified converter and it should arrive tomorrow. I will let you know how it goes.

Thanks

Converter turned up and it works perfect (so long as you plug in USB power).

So that's the easiest open & shut case ever.

Thanks for your help, hopefully this thread will show on google search so the next person who tries to solve this finds it easy.
