Out of nowhere while using my computer, my headphones stopped outputting audio. I tried using different jacks and different headphones but with no avail. However, my computer still detects that the sound is there and even shows green bars in the volume mixer when I play audio. I've tried:
I'm honestly not too sure what to do at this point. Could it be that my built in motherboard audio is failing? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Here are my specs:
Motherboard: MSI Z97 Gaming 7
CPU: Intel core i7 4770k
GPU: Nvidia GeForce 970

Checking drivers are up to date (Realtek HD Audio Manager)
Making sure motherboard cables are in correctly
Checking the Realtek volume and the front jack detection
Disabling fast startup(As I've heard that can cause audio problems)
Using the Windows troubleshooter
