I live in Australia, and I am looking to buy a new PC headset between $80 and $200 AUD. I am considering the HyperX Cloud Alpha but I am wondering if the G430 is a better option for the $50 less.
I have also heard that gaming headsets are generally overpriced compared to normal marketed headphones (?), if someone could clarify that it would be great.
I can buy the headphones from a couple of different places:
https://www.jbhifi.com.au/games-consoles/accessories/gaming-headsets/
https://www.centrecom.com.au/gaming-headsets
I currently own a Turtle Beach PLa headset :p and so I think I will notice the difference greatly
Also some people recommend Steelseries' Arctis 5 and some people say they're garbage
And my friend owns a Cloud II and says they're amazing, but the microphone is terrible
This is why I am confused.
Thanks,
Izaak

Just to let you know, Newegg do deliver to Australia, and you may find better pricing there.

As for headphones, I have tried several and tbh, a decent pair of stereo for me, is better. But each to their own. I just didn't like the 7.1 Corsairs I had. Even though they cost a small fortune.
