Question Help Choosing a Motherboard

Hi,

I'm currently ordering a pre-built system and the motherboard I had originally selected (and had been suggested to me) is out of stock and therefore the build is on a pre-order wait list for the part. I'm wondering if I could swap my motherboard for a different option at a similar price point however I don't know enough about the boards to understand what I'd be losing/gaining if I do this. Can you guys help advise please?

Motherboard I currently have selected is:
ASUS TUF GAMING X670E-PLUS WIFI

Alternative options at the same price point:
ASUS PRIME X670-P WIFI
GIGABYTE X670 GAMING X AX: ATX

The rest of my build:

CORSAIR iCUE 5000X RGB MID TOWER GAMING CASE
ASUS® TUF GAMING X670E-PLUS WIFI (DDR5, PCIe 5.0)
CORSAIR 1000W RMx SERIES™ MODULAR 80 PLUS GOLD, ULTRA QUIET
AMD Ryzen 9 7900X 12 Core CPU (4.7GHz-5.6GHz/76MB CACHE/AM5)
Corsair iCUE H150i ELITE CAPELLIX RGB Hydro Series High Performance CPU Cooler
24GB NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3090 Ti
32GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR5 6000MHz (2 x 16GB)
500GB SAMSUNG 980 PRO M.2, PCIe NVMe (up to 6900MB/R, 5000MB/W)
1TB SAMSUNG 980 PRO M.2, PCIe NVMe (up to 7000MB/R, 5000MB/W)
2TB SEAGATE BARRACUDA SATA-III 3.5" HDD, 6GB/s, 7200RPM, 256MB CACHE

You don't need the PCIe 5.0 capable port on the X670E-PLUS WIFI board because your NVMe drives are PCIe 4.0.

The X670E-PLUS WIFI has a W_PUMP+ header not found on the other Asus. You may need it for your liquid cooler???? I don't know.

The X670E has an extra 8 pin power connector. You may need it for your video card?

The 2 Asus boards differ slightly in USB ports. One can support 6 SATA drives; the other only 4.

Slight differences in Realtek sound. Probably not important.

One Asus has four 4 pin chassis fan connectors; the other has only three.

Slight difference in NVMe support; probably not important unless you have unusual requirements.

I'd concentrate on the requirements for your chosen liquid cooler and chosen video card. The other differences are not as important.

Didn't check the Gigabyte, but you could easily find its feature list at Gigabyte web site.

Try to find reviews of any board you might buy.
