Help choosing componets for computer

Hi Iam about to purchase a new computer i have done alot of searching for some of the top parts sofar this is what i have

and im getting this all for $3700 CAD So i was wondering if all the parts i picked are good and any suggestions would be great thanks

Your system will be fine. I have different taste in hardware than you (for instance, I think perfectly flat screens look grainy), but you've picked parts that some other guys (probably you included) would love.

See with the nForce 2 u dont need the Audigy card, its sound chip is equal to Audigy in quality and uses less CPU.......I gave u a better monitor.......a better PSU........and a better case..........also a better Hard Drive....and its a LOT cheaper than your solution.......

If u want more info. lemme know...im in the GTA.....maybe u r too...these prices were taken from the local store i usually buy my stuff at.......

I hope you meant 2x 256 mb rambus module*S*, since they have to run in pairs. If you get one, your screwed. Anyway you have to buy two to make rambus work so I hope you haven't bought 1 yet.

Get a Hard Drive with 8mb cache...they aren't too much more, and since you are already spending that much on the computer why not spend another 20$.

Well, for top of the line I would go with the following:

AMD Athlon 3000+
Corsair 512 MB DDR 400
N-Force 2 motherboard
GeForce FX 5800
Antec 1080 AMG case
Plextor 48X24X48 drive
2 Western Digital 120 GB drives in RAID 0 with Promise Fasttrax TX2000.

Lol, dont you hate it when people ask for suggestions on enhancing their system theyre about to buy, then instead simply ignore all of the suggestions and simply accept praise. (Bonafidesham) Although that would be a good system, why not have athink about an AMD system that would save you a lot of money rather than just ignoring those suggestions.

Excellent computer. I think there is no doubt that this is the fastest available configuration. If you want top of the line, then the i850E+3.06Ghz P4 w/HT is really it. AMD cpus still can´t top that!

True tom very true but when your spendin, much like me you really do wanna know , ya know..!. Does anyone know about this 32bit rambus rimm (you only need one) and supposedly its faster than two rimms, less ground to cover or something.....does that mean that if you say installed two 32bit rimms they would bottleneck the bus in any way or is that not the issue, I recall hearing that more than two rimms in a system will slow the whole thing down (access times) en stuff...so whats the situation in putting another 512 32bit rimm in in another couple of months or so......anyone......!
