So as the title says I’m basically looking for some help to choose a CPU cooler, more specifically I have my sights set on the NZXT Kraken Elite series, though I’m hoping that someone could help me choose which size to pick.
Currently I’ve picked the largest one - 360mm radiator, but with size comes a hefty price which is my main concern with the 360mm.

[Although it's a 240mm roundup, it may be possible to interpolate the results to 360s.

You don't need much cooling for that CPU, a 240mm AIO would be more than enough. Most of them use same cold plate/pump and radiators so similar in performance. Most of price difference is in plain or fancy lights on fans and pump, various controllers and some even with LCD screen on pump to display pictures or temperatures. Those are what you pay extra for. Depends what you fancy and are willing to pay for. An all black plain one will work same as most expensive one.

I think I’m definitely going to get an RGB version, though I’m wondering if the Elite series is even worth the relatively big price difference. I’m very tempted to go with the Elite for the better screen, but I’m really not sure whether I can justify the price difference or not.

Crazy.
You are looking to pay about as much for the cooler as the processor.
Not only that, but aio coolers do not last forever.
In time, air intrudes through the tubes or the mechanical pump fails or gets clogged.
Think 5 years.

That said, aesthetics counts so do what you will.

If you want white w/rgb, how about the Thermalright peerless assassin for $57:

Well reviewed here:

Going for a non elite would cost me roughly $40 more than a chromax.black D15
