Hello everyone. I have encountered a problem with my recently built computer, it wont boot. It seems to discover all the parts needed to fire up the system CPU, RAM, Harddisk, my Nec DVD-rom and so on. I downloaded Microsofts trial version of Windows XP professional 64 bit, which i burned to a CD that i am fairly positive that should not be anything wrong with. At the first stage of the windows installation "with the blue screen" seems to work fine at the start but during this wait i encounter error messages like:

File \AMD64\hal.dll could not be loaded. The error code is 4

and:

The file dmboot.sys is corrupted
Etc, which terminate the installation.

sometimes it just freezes up... When Nvidia Bootagent is started i also recieve theese messages:

PXE-E61 media test failure check cable.
PXE-MOF: Exiting Nvidia bootagent.

Im all ears to your suggestions and ideas!

Thank you all.

the pxe errors are from the bios looking for a pxe boot server on the network. Should be able to disable this in the bios.

You didnt list your specks. You are using a 64-bit cpu right?
