Help in choosing cards to run 3x27"@7680x1440

The XFX DD is $10 cheaper. I can get them now I guess. So should I go with XFX considering the price or Sapphire?

It's up to you I haven't been a fan of XFX's cooling design it has a rather reference feel to it.

The 820 looks good as well. It has 4 water cooling grommets. I have my eyes set on the Fractal Design cases the Define R4 or the XL R2. But You would have to do modding to get it to work I bet for water.

I guess cases are indeed a personal preference. I might have to go with the XFX because the cheapest Sapphire up here is the reference card and it's still 10 dollars more than the XFX BE. What about this card: http://www.ncix.com/products/?sku=67547&vpn=GV-R797OC-3GD&manufacture=Gigabyte

And I have been taking a very close look at FDF R4 and XL R2. They are good and are very tempting.

Ah redeemer. What do you suggest I go get besides the one I have now? I mean it has PCI-E and if I put CF then I can have both cards run at 8x8. Is there a board out there that can run 16x8 for Z77? Also, I intend to move up to IB-E when it comes out so I guess this out of question right now!

That card is way cheaper than even the XFX DD GHz and I can pick it up tomorrow, I mean pick up 2 of them tomorrow and will send you 2 the pictures including my 2 monitors that are yearning for their 3rd mate!

Which card? Also, there is no reason for you to get 3 way CF such overkill. Way I look at it get what you can afford now if you need more power get more power but man no need for 3. 2 screens and were talking 3 cards pfft. nope!

I am not getting 3 cards lol. I will upgrade to IB-E when it comes out and this mobo and CPU will serve my wife as HTPC and gaming (she has hijacked my games lately).

yes, yes. I have the 670 version of that design. runs very cool and has very little noise. Gigabyte puts out really nicely priced items. I prefer other manufactures but you can't argue the price

But the XFX GHz are very tempting since they're higher quality bin chips. So now it's down to those 2; Gigabyte vs XFX!

haha! well I would say get the best with what you can afford. If you like the gigabyte card why not just get the ghz edition from them.

The XFX GHz is 439.99 Canadian dollars and it has $30 MIR which will make it 409.99 before tax. So 2 of them will cost me 819.98 before tax with MIR applied and I can pick them up tomorrow and save on shipping too. See what I mean?

Do you think my PSU is more than enough to have these boys (2*XFX GHz) I just ordered running with a IB-E chip (when it comes out) and 360 mm rad + 420 mm rad, 2 pumps?

That is very hard to say I know that the 2011 chips have been more hungry for power. However you have a AX850 and that should be ample for what you are doing.

Don't go SLI or CFX and you won't need the watercooling either..........also micro-stuttering is to consider when going that route.

if you wanna run 3x27" of UHD.....thats a HUGE number of pixels to push!!! and CFX and SLI setup of 2GB+2GB cards are Not 4GB but ONLY 2GB EFFECTIVELY...

so, I would recommend going with a single card solution.

GTX Titan is coming out in a week on 2/18.....should be available to ORDER in about 10 days.........6 GB, 384-bit ......that's what you need to run 3x UHD displays

so hold on for 10 days, and get a Titan. because CFX/SLI has microstuttering + heat +space + efficiency problems....
and NO single card currently available is gonna cut it for ur needs.

its gonna all change in a week.

Well, what the heck. The Titan will have a $1100+ price tag and no one knows for sure if it is real or fake, hence the title rumor. I don't see why I should spend that much money on a single card that can't push 3x2560*1440p at max settings. If it's selling at that price I might as well go and grab 3CF or 3SLI.

I think IB-E should be less power hungry due to 22nm process just like how the current IB i5/i7 offerings are very efficient compared to SB chips.

Indeed and even so how nvidia and amd go at multi monitor support is a bit different. I would say get the best with what you can afford. Typically SLi/CF setups handle multi monitor setups better.
