So recently I have upgraded my graphics card to a GTX 1070. I would love to be able to use its power to optimize my video experience in players such as potplayer, but whatever "codec" or toolkit I download is a dead end for me. If anyone is familiar with this topic, I would love for some help. NVENC is the brand new one for Pascal cards. Thanks and I hope everyone is having a great day.

Solution
Give the developers some time to write and test the code for the new GTX line of GPU's. CUDA was changed from what I read.
I tend to use the K-lite codec pack and upgrades, they seem to upgrade frequently, and you have way too many things you can tweak on it for your video playback experience. The thing is, if you're not upscaling to 4k, you're not gonna get a whole lot out of a graphics card tweak for better playback. I have a 4k TV as a monitor, and I upscale with MadVR, which gives you a lot of options of how and where and when to tweak, but I have a 980Ti and am not upgrading til the 1080Ti comes out.

Hey.. Thanks for the feedback. I have a 1440p monitor and I feel like madvr would do a good job up scaling 1090p videos, but there is no options. I will install the K lite codec and see if it can improve my grainy viewing experience.

I understand. But how would I even use CUDA to begin with? It doesn't show up in my options in Potplayer.
