Hi,

First of all, here's what im running:
-Athlon XP 2000+ (overclocked @ 1.8GHz/300MHz FSB)
-MOBO: MSI K7N2 Delta2-LSR (Nforce 2/Capable 400Mhz FSB)
-RAM: 1.5gb PC400Mhz (3 x 512MB)
-Graphics: NVIDIA Geforce FX5200 128MB DDR / 8X AGP.
-HDD: 80GB SATA 7200RPM

The rest is your basic DVD and DVD Writer...etc. Onboard Sound, onboard lan...blah.

I mostly play games on my pc, GTA San Andreas, C&C Zero Hour....also do some video editing, watch DVDs, its also my TV (via TV Tuner).

anyways, my budget is pretty tight, so I can only upgrade one part every few paychecks.

I really want to make good/long use of my mobo, so im considering on purchasing a better athlon xp, I had 3200+ in mind.

OR, purchase an MSI NX6600-256MB (Geforce 6600).

Which one of these parts will improve my PCs performance the best, mostly for gaming...

Thanks

Eric

In your case, the graphics card would make a huge improvement since the FX5200 is really a very weak card. Increasing the cpu ability would do little in the graphics department.

That will definitely give him some overhead with that CPU...

Ouch. Seriously? :O Look no further. Toss that card and upgrade your graphics.
