Hi all,
I've budgeted myself £350 this month for some PC improvements
I'm torn between 2 options.
1. Upgrade case and start a custom cooling loop
2. Upgrade my motherboard and CPU.
I want to do both eventually. Here are some specifics on my current system
PSU: 850w evga supernova gold
Case: corsair carbide spec 01
CPU: 8320@ 4.4
Cooler: H55 I with 2 sp120 in push pull
GPUs: MSI HD 7990
Ram: 16gb 1600 hyper x fury.
Current choices for option 1:
-Thermaltake core v71 or Thermaltake Core X9
- Custom water loop for CPU at first. Making sure pump and reservoir are suitable for future expansion.
If I go with this option I will most likely get the next architecture of I5 or the equivalent with suitable motherboard when released.
Option 2:
Pick up an i7 4790k and suitable motherboard for immediate performance enhancement.
I will eventually want to do something like option 1 also.
Which order would you guys do things.?
