Current Specs

AMD 6300
GTX 1060
600W power supply
8GB ram
128GB SSD
144hz monitor

Looking to upgrade and I usually multitask and game a lot (like a lot of chrome tabs (10+) open and play games (PUBG, CSGO, LOL, BF) at the same time. I'm getting low FPS on pubg which is frustrating ~35-50 and stutters like crazy.

Looking for:

-a Mini ITX build because I have an ATX and it takes lots of space.
-full upgrade or just upgrade CPU, RAM, MOBO, and Case

Interested in i7-8700 or i5-8400

Please give me some suggestions I should upgrade and give an exact specs if possible.
Thank you.

What's your budget?

This is a good midrange setup. With a bigger budget you could get a 8700k. But you have a 1060 and the 8400 will pair nicely with that GPU. I would move up to 16gb of RAM for your platform upgrade. You cant go wrong with phanteks cases.

Solution
Here is a reasonable upgrade path, though I need to know what your PSU make and model is.

The hexa core 8400 should be fine. Having lots of tabs open is way more memory intensive than game intensive. 16GB of memory should do you fine, I also sometimes run 10 tabs open of chrome/firefox and play video games on 16GB of memory and I get no stuttering.

Although your looking for a new build, I have a tip for PUBG. If you are those tabs or productivity in a second monitor while playing, I find it destroys the performance. When you get in the game, hit CTRL+D to minimize all tabs and then run the game in full screen, not border less but full screen, this gives me +20 more fps.

Budget is reasonable and not break the bank like a GTX 1080 or something. Too overkill for PUBG i fee like
