I have been having an issue lately gaming, as some games will freeze and crash to desktop with reliability history showing: "Fault Module Name: UnityPlayer.dll, Exception Code: c0000005"
This coincides with a memory issue when I shut windows down every night, it is fast on the screen, but along the lines of "the instruction at 0x00007ff referenced memory"

I am running the Gigabyte Z790 Aorus, with an i7 14900k, and 48gb of Corsair DDR5 7200.

I ran memtest86, and it showed errors in the memory. I purchased a new memory kit, trying to fix the problem, but it is still happening. I have installed the RAM into A2 and B2, and also A1 and B1, and the error still happens when I shut windows down.

Is this a software issue in windows, or could the motherboard really have issues with all 4 memory slots? Anyone have a similar experience?

One of the remedies for Intel's erratic behavior with the 13th and 14th Gen platforms was to either run low speeds on the memory or disable X.M.P entirely. To add, you're working with a high density ram kit at a high frequency, the sweet spot to the platform you have is DDR5-6000MHz or slightly higher. That being said, got a link to the ram kit you're working with?

Gigabyte Z790 Aorus
If you look up Gigabyte Z790 Aorus on Google, Gigabyte have a number of models under their Aorus series for that chipset. Which one do you have? What BIOS version are you on for your motherboard?

Try to run Prime95 and 7-zip unzipping big files when XMP is disabled, and check if your CPU can pass the test.

Your CPU is probably faulty due to Intel's design. You should RMA it and install the latest BIOS before/immediately when you get the RMA-ed CPU to prevent the new CPU from being shocked to be nnstable.

The memory is here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CC336JK8?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

The board is Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite AX v1.1 running bios version FLb. And I noticed I put the i7 14900k in the post, but it is actually the 14700k, mistype sorry.

enable XMP for the memory then manually lower the speed to 6400
I lowered it to 6400. Even with XPM off, it still shows that memory error I mentioned during shut down of Windows. It happens so rapidly, I am trying to get a screen shot of the code to look it up.

I did run Windows Memory Disgnostics, and it came up with no issues, so I don't get it.
