A co-worker of mine brought in her Compaq Presario 700 Notebook. Somehow her LCD monitor dropped and the screen looks physically intact, but when you turn on the computer you are not able to see anything. The LCD crystals must be broken and she was wondering if it would be worth replacing the monitor.

If the monitor would cost too much to replace, are there any places she could sell the computer to?

Meaning the entire screen looks like it's been scratched, you get different shadings on the entire screen. The LCD Monitor was dropped from a table. I'll take some photos of it later tonight so you can see exactly what I mean.
