NOTICE: My video editing is for call of duty gameplay, not real life footage or that. All footage is recorded from a HD capture card which is then edited into mp4 format. Just call of duty with after effects and little bit of 3d work.

I currently have a pc that is 4gb of ram and well the processer is Intel (R) Core (TM)2 duo CPU E7500 @ 2.93GHz 2.92 ghz. (Sorry I don't know much about PC specs). My computer is OKAY for video editing in after effects (currently using 3gb ram) and sony vegas but I would prefer a PC with faster rendering. My MAIN reason to buy a new pc is for faster renders. Of course I will need to use the pc for internet and stuff but can you guys suggest a good pc that can make me happy with render times? My render times are not that slow... I just want them to be faster and Is this done by buying a pc that has 8gb ram? or what? my budget is £400 max. I have been searching online and some PCs have AMD processor and some have intel. Which is best for video rendering?

Also, what affects render times? Ive noticed restarting my pc and rendering right away renders a little faster as no other applications are open. What else?

Sorry I did not know any UK sites of the top of my head. I don't know the exchange rate either but I am sure that those components are on the UK sites. I just wanted to give the OP an idea of what £400 could get him.

Hello, my budget is £500. I already have a monitor.

i am looking for a nice PC that can render fast in after effects and render the preview well too. I think 16gb ram would be pretty cool.

Also, I will use after effects for editing HD gameplay videos recorded from a HD capture card. I will add effects such as reel smart motion blur, twixtor, witch and some distort effects and magic bullet looks. I just want something that can render the preview nice and fast. ALSO, the clips I will be editing will not be over 10 seconds, therefore I need a pc that can render a preview of an edited composition well that is about 60 frames / 10 seconds.

Can you please try and use pc part picker as website for parts.

THANKS I REALLY NEED THE HELP
