HELP!! Oveclock in AMD 3000+

There really isn't a way to tell. Search for other people overclocking their 3000+ with a similar heatsink. The only way to find out is to start overclocking. Raise your HTT speed in 5 Mhz increments, test in windows with Prime95 for a few minutes, raise your HTT again, and keep going. Once you start getting errors in Prime95, you need to raise the v-core. Now, don't raise the v-core very high, it will make your CPU warmer. I would suggest staying under 50C under load. Hope this helps somewhat.

With a Venice, you should be able to take it pretty far. Depends on your motherboard and RAM though. You should beable to do atleast 2.4Ghz I would think. There are some people that are at 2.6-2.7Ghz with air cooling. Just depends on the rest of your setup.

Are you sure??Some of my friends in Greece told me that is very difficult to overclock even to 2.5 GHz.

Exactly what i was gonna say.

I Have Mine @ 2.16GHz ( 20% OverClocked ) I Cant Push It Anymore , Because My Memory Cannot Handle More Than 200MHz ... But I Will Reach Much Higher When I Change My 2Gb ( 4x512Mb ) Kingmax With 2x1Gb OCZ Platinum
