I was playing IL 2 Forgotton battles for a number of weeks. I did an upload
on a driver (one of these that are posted in an email and you do
automatically for those of us who don't know what we are doing) Anyhow when
I went to play, my screen (the whole game ) appeared upside down on the
monitor. Repetitive trys and the same happened. So I figured I would do a
complete and new install and had hoped that would fix it. Still the same,
everything is upside down. Anyone know what is going on? This is
frustrating as heck. Thank you

Yeah, I think I know what is going on. Assuming you did a re-install of the
operating system, not just IL-2 and the whole system is affected, not just
IL2

You actually installed one of those "Microsoft Updates" from an email you
got.
Here's the bad news... MS doesn't notify you by email of updates. Ever.
Never has. Never will. THEY ARE ALL VIRUSES... EVERY ONE. To update you
either have to have automatic updates selected, respond to a prompt that the
updates are there (if not selected) or visit the microsoft update web site.

So, here's the deal. You've got a virus. It looks like it just wants to
play games. Buy and run a good virus scanner. Everybody has their
favorite. I use Norton.

If you are like most people that bought a pre-made HP, Dell, etc., your
re-install is probably on another partition of your disk and may have been
infected as well. Try the virus scanner first and see if that clears it up.
Try some anti-spyware software as well. As a last resort, use the install
CDs (if you have them... You did go ahead and make install CDs, didn't
you? - usually from the info that's on that other partition (I've got a few
HP systems I bought recently... They don't come with re-install disks, you
have to create them from the data on the D partition).

Also try calling the company tech support. With luck, you'll get someone
who actually has met someone who speaks your language as a native tongue.
Ask them if they have any ideas. Maybe they will send you some re-install
disks.

This isn't one of those monitors that has a swivel so it can be viewed in
landscape or portrait mode is it? (never bought one, never could figure a
use for one, but they do make them). Did you swing it all the way round so
it's upside down? (didn't think so)

Check your rotation settings for your video card.
What kind of card you got?
