Thanks! But isn't the FX-8120 better for running things like VMs? I'm not completely sure but a few people say it's better for that then gaming. I also forgt to mention a aftermarket cooler will be installed maybe a week or two after the initial build.

fx for gaming is a joke. but fx for work is decent. and if you are going to do more work than games, id rather get a fx 8320 over a i5

Friend owns the same PSU and says its fine.
Opinion? But I do prefer intel > AMD. But this is a budget/performance build.
Low profile heatsink >
Gigabyte > Sapphire and reviews say the extra money is well worth.

I would consider the i5 but I'm not to sure about a micro board in a full tower.

its fine but not the best. the xfx is a lot better. made by seasonic = pretty much the king of power supplies

it does perform better. just no overclocking. plus uses half the power of a amd chip and performs better at stock clocks

the intel stock is lower profile

sapphire is a better manufacturer. you got them mixed up.

My Thor V2 is coming in this Tuesday.

I will get that PSU is cheaper and you're right.

I'd love an i5 but I'd want a better mobo (and one that'd fit in my case with out wire-length problems(Thor V2))

I was talking about the heatsink on the RAM. I'll be getting a aftermarket cooler for the CPU anyway.

From reading reviews, people had more problem with the sapphire version of the card over the gigabyte. But if the Sapphire stays on sale, I might as well.

And @cute beans, is the Asus version of the card really worthy the extra money...?

the wire problem only comes from the power supply, not the motherboard

you can get a gigabyte z77x-d3h if you want for the motherboard

the heatsinks are pretty low

not really. i buy the one that is most acceptable in pricing. if the asus is not 229.99 after MIR, i wouldnt get it
