Okay, i currently have two hard drives installed on my computer, C: and F:. My main OS is XP which i have installed on C: however, a couple of days ago i installed a copy of windows 7 on my F: drive and everything was working fine. At boot up it would ask me which OS i wanted to run, however i had an issue and had to format the F: drive. Now the F: drive is completely empty but i still get the boot screen asking me what OS i want to run. I tried looking at the boot.ini from the XP OS on the C: drive but all that shows up is Windows XP, it has no evidence whatsoever that Windows 7 was ever there.
All i want to do is remove the OS selection screen so when i turn on my PC it automatically boots up on XP.

All help will be appreciated,
thanks in advance.

win 7 dosn't show up.
going to the boot tab in msconfig is the same as manually opening the boot.ini file.
and as i stated in my last post, win 7 does not show up as an OS, the only one there is XP
