Question Help with buying Case Fans. Case has controller.

Hi, I want to buy some fans for my case. The case has a controller on the top that can control the speed (Low, Stop, High). The fans that came with the case plug into connectors that run up to that controller (it has 6 connectors, only using 3 currently). From that controller, only 1 cable comes down to the motherboard. It goes to the "JFP1 connector", of which my manual says "These connectors connect to the switches and LEDs on the front panel". Pics: View: https://imgur.com/a/Vy88QIm

Wondering what fans are compatible. Uses 3 pin connector. So I'm assuming this means I have to get DC fans and not PWN in order to work with this controller, correct? However, all the fan connectors on my motherboard are free (they are 4 pin). So I could also plug straight into there. But I'm assuming the controller wouldn't work for them if I do, correct? So would these motherboard-connected fans just run at a constant set speed, or do they react to the temp inside the case?

What would you recommend me do? Also, any recommendations for good fans? Comp is used mostly for gaming, I'd say it's a mid-level build.

Thanks a bunch!

if your motherboard has 4pin PWM headers available that would be the best option.

best case scenario,
the new fans could then be individually set with a custom speed curve based on temperatures of specific devices.

include your complete system specs with the make & model of all components;
CPU:
motherboard:
RAM:
GPU:
PSU:
case:

if it's a prebuilt system;
include a link to the manufacturer/distributor product page.

Is this a custom build or a prebuilt? OR just the particular case this is, I am a bit fuzzy on this aspect.

Normally speaking, 3 pin tends to be a standard "3pin 5V ARGB" and you can get little inline controllers for nearly nothing. If this is built into the case itself it may or may not be on an industry standard, and to top that off, may or may not be speed controllable such as the plug into a Molex connector type.

More information, please.

Interesting find @triplex1

Whatever fans you get to put in your pc case you will see that they have the same revolutions and the same amperes so that the fan controller it has works for them, otherwise you remove it (don't connect anything) and put a fan hub and whatever fan you want

https://www.hardwarewebwinkel.nl/componenten/koeling/fans/120-mm-fans/merk/titan

If you find it difficult, put a 1-10 fan hub (I'll give you a link so you understand what I mean, you hide it with the wiring) and put whatever fan you want and adjust the speed from your motherboard and the bios

this is? *sic
Yeah, that's it.

There are 6 plugs total that go to the controller (and 6 spots on the case for fans). Case came with 3. Looking to buy 1 or 2 more.
to determine what is the best available option(s) for you that information is required.
I'll see what the others can say first with the available information. Would take a lot of work looking all that up. I would think knowing the case is 90% of what you need to know anyways.

In total, the box accepts 7 fans, you have to look at the sticker on the fan from the side that takes out the air (there you will find which model your fans are)I sent you a link from Holland with a titan fan, I don't know where you are from, but there are titans in ebay if you search

what do you need my specs for?

the specific fans you want to use should be based on what exactly you're trying to keep cool.

if just a basic office/HTPC type setup;
a couple cheaper, lower RPM, while still somewhat quiet fans would be fine.

for heavy gaming;
a few larger, more expensive, higher airflow(CFM), noise reduction engineered fans are the best option.

if your PSU is a fanless or lower quality unit;
it will likely need more airflow in it's vicinity.

if your RAM has inadequate heatsinks;
they will need more cool intake air blowing across them.

if your CPU and/or GPU is a model known for putting off a lot more than average heat;
even more cool air intake fans with better overall exhaust would be necessary for proper temperature control across the entire system.

what sort of CPU cooler you have installed is also a big factor in deciding which fans and where exactly you may want them located.

what headers exactly your motherboard has available;
how many and of what type fans can be used,
and if you may have proper resources to add a decent PWM hub.

this case setup intended for DC fans with a switch for very limited control is not a good idea anymore these days.
even adding another DC hub that uses BIOS control just to continue using included fans is not a good idea because then you have to hunt down some more lower quality 3pin fans to match them on the hub.

the information you've been provided here by other users is leading towards you using more of some pretty much crap quality fan models in a subpar design for them.

@JohnBonhamsGhost Thanks for the help, John. I'll try to hunt down those specs.

Ok, good to know, but for me it'll be hard to know what that looks like on the market.
"More expensive" - I won't know if it's priced high because it's good or I'm being ripped off.
"larger" - Not sure what you mean by this, cause the case only fits one size, right? In my case 120mm.
"noise reduction engineered" - all the fans I've looked at online claim this, even cheap ones.

Maybe after I give you my specs you can just recommend me some. And would you recommend replacing the ones that came with the case? They are GameMax model:GMX-WFBK BK.
Also if you could tell how many fans I should use, that'd be appreciated. Case can take 7 fans, as @triplex1 kindly pointed out (and provided pictures of case, thank you triplex!). My case sits on the ground. There's 12cm from back of case to the wall.

what motherboard?
or just how many PWM headers does it have?

if it doesn't offer enough individual headers you can get a PWM hub that will only use a single header.
would you recommend replacing the ones that came with the case?
those GameMax fans are low-mid tier quality.
you could get much higher CFM fans that would push more air at lower noise levels.

the Noctua NF-A12x25 are a lot better.
or the be quiet! Silent Wings 4 High-Speed PWM are some of the best out there.

i'd go with 2x front intakes,
1x bottom intake,
1x rear exhaust,
1x top-rear exhaust.

but, considering that the CPU & GPU aren't really the hottest out there;
you could just do 2x front intakes & 1x rear exhaust and just have them run at higher RPMs with a bit more noise.

Not knowing where you live makes a big difference in price.

I would not buy the high dollar fans pretty much just overpriced.
Buy 3 of these to replace the 3 you have and it is almost double your airflow.

Could be better options depending on where you live. A bit louder but that is going to be what happens when you increase the airflow.

In the US.

@JohnBonhamsGhost Thanks so much for the recommendations! Oops, forgot about mb. Here it is:
MSI MAG Z490 Tomahawk Gaming Motherboard
Does that change anything? I know it has at least 2 pwm headers. And as for bottom intake fan, just wondering if that makes sense for me, case is sitting on carpet.
@Zerk2012 Thanks for your recommendations, too! I'm in Canada, btw. Things are pricier here than in US (our dollar is worse).
