I am looking to purchase a new gaming rig from CyberPower and I need some help. Every time I buy new PC I mess up somewhere. I'm fairly sure I know exactly what parts I need to do what I want but I thought I'd ask if someone can build something for me anyway. I'll Use the template for asking for a new build. Thank you for your help and advice.

Approximate Purchase Date: Within a month.

Budget Range: Approx $2000 before tax. No shipping as I live in SoCal and can pick up from CyberPower warehouse. (And have them start it up before I leave.)

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Video Games and downloading/browsing.

Are you buying a monitor: No

Parts to Upgrade: Complete Core System. I have a GTX 460 I can cannibalize for PhysX games if I need to.

Do you need to buy OS: Yes

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: CyberPower

Location: City, State/Region, Country - N/A

Parts Preferences: Intel and Nvidia. I've always used Gigabyte for Mobo but I have no preference on that.

Overclocking: Maybe - If its recommended.

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe - If its recommended.

Your Monitor Resolution: 1920 X 1080 I suppose.

Additional Comments: I never cool my apartment below 80 degrees so I need decent cooling but i don't care about noise really. Also, I have cats. I know there are cases with filters on the intake fans but if they exceed my budget then forget it.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: MAX settings on games. It's my downfall. If I can't play at max or very nearly close to with a good FPS rate then I probably won't play the game. My current rig needs everything upgraded so I thought I'd just get a new one.

I enjoy modding games like Skyrim to max textures and such. I think that spells the need right there. I haven't played Arkham City yet because that game just NEEDS to be smooth.

Thanks again in advance to anyone willing to help me on this.

I thought about it. In fact I'm very close to the line. I like building things and I like upgrading individual parts. Configuring things like Bios and overclocking (If I choose to OC) is not fun to me. At All. Plus I cannot have things shipped to my Apartment as I work during shipping hours and I don't really have any other places I can get things shipped. Since my cost would be about the same anyways....

My personnel preference is to play I suppose.
