Help with Strix Z270F!

Hi I chose this motherboard for my first pc build but I have been having some issues. I built the pc and it powers on and the pwr_led turns on as well as the RGB so I know it is working. But it doesn't post/boot to bios and my monitor shows no signal.

I am afraid that I shorted it. Any help would be appreciated!

this is the new system troubleshooter. go down the list every step. this usually fixes most boot/post issues. if not post here again I'll will be watching the thread.

Yup I read through that entire list as the first thing when I had issues; i might have missed a detail but I think I did it all.

step 17 you have a speaker connected? any beeps?
with a speaker connected try to force a beep code by removing the RAM. the motherboard will not like booting with no RAM and will beep. if you cannot force a beep code in my experience the motherboard has died.
the speaker is the main diagnostic feedback device.
the speaker can be connected on the front panel connector displayed in the manual on page 1-20.

Hmm. I thought this was referring to the normal external speakers. I don't have one of these at the moment so I can try to get one but it might take a few days.

ah. I have used bits of spare wire and a bookshelf speaker, any speaker can work for diagnostics. pins 1 and 4 are active.

oh wow. I actually got a chance to stop by a hardware store and pick up a speaker. i will let you know how it goes tonight.

Ok so I connected a speaker and tried again.. No results. I booted up and the speaker made no sound whatsoever. But everything else still lit up

Oh I thought I needed ram to use it. I'll try that out. Also, the power button on my case (Enthoo Evolv) does absolutely nothing. I don't know if it's correlated with the motherboard, just thought I'd let you know.

No.. I just checked it out and its been removed in the new Phanteks cases for an LED switch of some sort. Also, I tried booting without the ram and the speaker made no noise.
