So I have the SY-P4I865PE Plus Dragon 2 V1.0, which appears to be my first
problem. I encountered a bunch of problems building my computer, and now I
am so close that I can't believe what is wrong. I have XP installed on the
computer and it works fine.... except when I have my mouse plugged into the
computer. When I unplug the mouse the computer works great, when it is
plugged in Windows crashes. I've tried several different mice both USB and
PS/2 connections. it's kinda cool, when the USB ones plug in while the
computer is running windows instantly crashes. Well if anyone has any
suggestions other than Deep six the motherboard (because I'm already
thinking that) please let me know.

Thanks
James

Pick the ps2 an stick with it. windows is so confused at this poin it
is time to format and re-install, Also I think I would try testing the
memory. You may havve a bad stick.Make sure the memory is installed to
the proper slots.

Try another power supply.

I had the same problem ( different board), as soon as I changed the power
supply it went away.
