A sniper that hasn't been located need not surrender - he can keep
hiding or he can leave. A sniper that has been located is not much of
a threat, so why let him surrender? Farting round demanding he
surrenders just gives him time to maybe slip away and shoot someone
another day. Besides, it's a real pain dragging a prisoner around with
you, so unless there's nothing better to do and I want a trip back to
Battalion HQ for some reason a captured sniper is just dead weight.
Besides, as I said, it's real hard to hear cries of surrender over the
noise of machinegun and GL fire.
