Question Hey! I have questions about updating B450 Tomahawk Max motherboard BIOS to Upgrade to 5000 series

Hey! I have a B450 Tomahawk Max motherboard with a R5 2600 CPU, I have been looking to upgrade to a 5000 series CPU I know that I have to update the BIOS since my current version is from before the 5000 series came out. My question is if I update the Bios would my PC not be able to run on my 2600 anymore?
