Question Hide cisco 2821 router from network

Hi! I recently started the process of moving my homelab into my college dorm and I noticed that they have a rule against personal routers in the dorm. I know for a fact that a couple of people have already been busted for having wireless routers, but what is the likeliness that they will detect mine as there is no wireless access point? I'm unfamiliar with any network scanning tools which the IT here may be using and I'd rather not have my internet cut off lol.
