[SOLVED] High cpu usage doing...nothing?

So I’ve been having a super high cpu usage ever since I plugged my second monitor in. Like my discord idling at 30-45% and my Spotify at around 20-30%. I’ve done almost everything I could think of, from checking if I have any viruses to sfc and repairing my OS. All my drivers are completely up to date with the newest updates. Please help!

My specs are:
AMD Ryzen 7 1700x
ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING
GTX 1660 TI
Aoc 144hz monitor as my main, crappy 75hz monitor as my second monitor
8 gigs of RAM

if it helps I haven’t cleaned my pc in a few months.

Doesn't make any sense. Monitors use very little, if any extra cpu or gpu power, I can have both of mine going and still get lower than 5% idle. Unless you are running something like Rainmeter and have badly optimised script in there somewhere.

Where are you plugging the second monitor into? If it's the motherboard ports, you'll get high cpu usage as the second monitor will be running from the igpu, not the discrete gpu.
So my both main 144hz monitor and 60hz monitor is plugged into my graphics card in my pc, not my motherboard. The 144hz monitor is plugged in with a DP cable, 2nd monitor is just a hdmi.

I am running rainmeter on my system, but that is actually one of the only things that’s staying below 1%, it’s stuff like my discord and chrome that’s using a incredible amount of cpu doing almost nothing, although I will try to experiment with my rainmeter and see if that does anything.
